ecoCompute Science is preceded by the ecoCompute conference, a large in-person engineering conference on sustainability in hardware and software. It was held twice: in Munich in 2024 and in Berlin in 2025.
Owing to the organisational overhead of an in-person event of that size, no in-person ecoCompute will be held in 2027. ecoCompute Science takes its place, online and peer-reviewed.
